We are thrilled to introduce you to two local powerhouses, meet Nia and Devon, sisters-in-law who created Two Board Moms – which could not be any cuter of a brand name! They love to create charcuterie boards, party spreads and dinner platters, with a focus on healthy and whole ingredients. We are grateful to get to know them a little better, and hope you are too, read their interview below:
Tell us a little bit about you!
We are Nia and Devon, sisters-in-law who live to inspire our community to bring family and friends together through beautiful boards; make everyday events entertaining, and encourage families to eat healthier and make food fun through engaging dinner and snack boards.
Through our social networks we bring you tips and tricks for creating spreads for any occasion, from healthy lunch for you or the kids, to a simple date night, or a themed party to entertain a crowd – because we truly believe that bonds are built around the table!
How many kids do you have and what are their ages?
Nia has a 4 y/o and Devon has an 8 & 11 y/o
What’s your favorite thing about being a mom? How every day is a new adventure, and whether good or bad, we have our team to go at it together.
How did you end up in Frisco area? We both grew up in the North Texas area, and after college and as we started families it was a natural place to live that was close to our parents and each other, and had so much to offer as our own families grew.
What do you love about Frisco area? Endless activities and entertainment for our families!
What’s your favorite restaurant in Frisco area? Mi Cocina at the Star!
What’s your favorite place to shop in Frisco area? Nordstrom’s at Stonebriar!
What’s your favorite thing to do when you need some “me time”? Exercise and dinners with girlfriends!
Tell us about your career. We both work for large corporations, Nia is in Recruiting and Devon is in Sales Operations.
What do you love about your career? Devon loves creating and driving strategies to help sales organizations grow. Nia loves making an impact in people’s lives and helping people navigate through their career path and make them an offer.
What is one thing you look forward to every year? We look forward to our holiday traditions! Cookie baking every December, birthday brunches, family trips – really every opportunity to get together and celebrate!
How do you juggle your career with being a mom and wife? Sparkling rose and cheese!! And a great partner in crime to be there for each other
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve gotten from another mom? Don’t sweat the small stuff, what seems huge or frustrating now is just part of that stage or time in your life, they will grow out of it!
What’s one fun fact about you? We first met at a journey concert when Devon’s brother introduced her to Nia!
