Hello, and welcome to my little corner of the Crafting world! My name is Ramya Ananthapalli, and I’m thrilled to introduce myself to you. I call Celina, a beautiful city full of charm and community, my home. Nestled in this vibrant place, I’ve had the privilege of experiencing both the small-town feel and the big-hearted people that make it so special.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Starting my own business has been a journey that has grown from my personal passions and a desire to celebrate life’s special moments in unique ways. It all began with my kids’ birthdays. As a mom, I always wanted to make each celebration extraordinary by bringing new, creative themes to life. Whether it was designing fun decorations or crafting one-of-a-kind party favors, I was constantly inspired to create something that would make each birthday memorable.
My love for paper crafts has always been a driving force for me. I find joy in transforming simple materials into beautiful, thoughtful designs that can brighten any occasion. Decorating a house with fresh, handmade crafts has always been something I dreamed about, and I wanted to bring that same creative touch to my children’s birthdays, making them feel extra special.
As I began sharing my creations with friends and family, they quickly took notice. I made a few crafts for their birthdays and even helped them decorate their homes for various occasions. The positive feedback and requests kept coming, and before I knew it, I realized that this was something I could turn into a business.
The spark to officially start my business came after relocating to Texas and settling into my new home. The fresh start in a new city gave me the opportunity to explore my craft in new ways and reach even more people. It felt like the perfect moment to turn my hobby into something that could bring joy to others while allowing me to share my love for unique, handmade decorations.

How long have you been creating hand crafted wood laser and engraved designs?
I’ve been creating handcrafted wood laser and engraved designs for just a few months now. It’s something I’ve always wanted to dive into, as I knew this niche would allow me to unleash my creativity in new ways. I’ve also had a strong desire to enter the world of corporate gifting, as it’s a fantastic way to reach more customers on a nationwide scale. What excites me about laser products is their durability—unlike paper products, laser-cut and engraved items have a longer lifespan, making them a meaningful and lasting choice for gifts and home decor.

What’s your favorite local restaurant/coffee/thing to do?
My favorite local things to do always have a special connection to my roots! When it comes to food, I absolutely love enjoying “pani puri” and “samosa” at Indian restaurants. These classic dishes always bring a smile to my face and remind me of the vibrant street food culture in India. I’m also a big fan of a good Starbucks mocha – it’s my go-to pick-me-up whenever I need a little extra boost.
In terms of things to do, I always love exploring Celina Downtown. It has such a charming vibe that reminds me of my hometown in India. The atmosphere there feels nostalgic and welcoming, and I enjoy strolling around, taking in the sights, and soaking up the local culture.

What advice would you give to other moms wanting a creative outlet/small business?
My advice to other moms wanting a creative outlet or to start a small business is to “pursue your dreams by taking action.” It’s important to start, even if it’s small, and keep moving forward. I’m lucky to have a supportive husband who believes in my ideas, and I’m constantly inspired by my beautiful girls, who motivate me every day to keep going.
So, to all the moms, I would say: Let your family be your inspiration, and don’t be afraid to take that first step. You’ve got this! With support and determination, you can turn your creativity into something amazing.
